Overview
KAM supported DHL from initial concept design to incorporation into base build, and subsequent warehouse fit-out for their new logistics Hub. This included significant negotiations with the developer for base build enhancements, coordination of direct contractors and the incorporation of a large-scale automated sortation system with multi-tiered mezzanines.
The project was delivered to a demanding programme and involved the complex coordination of the base build and automation fit-out. The automation system was a key factor, with significant coordination needed to ensure requirements were met and early access, commissioning and testing dates facilitated.
The follow-on warehouse fit-out was completed in August 2024, with a closely coordinated handover and staged operational ramp up leading to the site now being fully operational.
